Automobile interior accessories, aside from their aesthetics and comfort, provide passive safety, noise damping and protection from vibration and impact. These accessories may be designed for visible parts of the interior (with a cover or foil in the color of the interior) or the upholstered parts of the car. For the manufacture of insulation fillings in automobiles, both cold cured polyurethane moulded foam and block polyurethane foam are used, especially MOLITAN® S 2832 F and S 3535 F. For the protection of passengers, we manufacture expanded polypropylene accessories (EPP) designed for bump damping.
Sun visors are manufactured either from EPP or semi-rigid polyurethane foam. This technology makes it possible to integrate into the sun visor various types of mirrors and movable hinges, or direct and indirect lighting, a clip for papers or a parking clock. They are equipped with special pivots which allow the visor to be turned along two axes. We also offer a double visor which protects the driver from glare from the front and side at the same time. The surface of the sun visor is made of pleasant material in a variety of colours. Sun visors are developed and produced in keeping with the demands of automobile manufacturers.
Seat fillings from cold cured polyurethane moulded foam are automobile accessories which ensure a high degree of comfort at the same time they contribute to passive safety along with the frame, cover and other accessories. For seat manufacture, it is standard to use cold cured moulded polyurethane foam, whose physical and mechanical properties provide passengers with comfort and safety. Moulded foam accessories may be modified for installation of other safety items by seat manufacturers.
Headrest cushions are another component of automobile seats. Foam parts fulfill rigorous demands for ergonomics and function with other accessories to create the system of passive safety. The technology used by Gumotex makes it possible to cover various construction elements with foam, e.g., plastic and metal reinforcements for attaching the seat construction, velcro straps, textile inserts, etc., which are used to enhance the comfort and safety of passengers.
Self-adhesive cutouts
Self-adhesive cutouts, tapes, or wraps from layered material composed of sealed materials, e.g., PUR (MOLITAN®), foam latex, or filled with PE and acrylic glue (water-based acrylic dispersion) covered with separation paper.
The products conform to strict standards usual in the automobile industry. Self-adhesive sealing material is used as a very good temperature or sound insulation material with antivibration properties.
It is manufactured using a technology in which it is cut out either by water stream or oscillating knife.
For lamination, the most advantageous types of foam are MOLITAN® E 3037 AF, E 3540 AF and E 5555 AF.
Product parameters
Product parameters may be modified to a fairly wide extent in keeping with the wishes and needs of customers. All GUMOTEX products designed for the automobile industry fulfill the highest demands in terms of their physical and mechanical characteristics and lifetime in both standard and nonstandard conditions. Especially noteworthy is their low flammability. Maintaining these parameters is ensured by a system of following technological procedures and initial, mid-operation and output control checks, along with product audits and a system of continuous quality improvement.
