What are the warranty conditions for inflatable boats?
The standard length of the warranty is two years and other conditions are in accordance with the commercial code.
Can you tell me if there's some product available to protect the surface of the boat?
After using the craft, or in storing it, we recommend it be cleaned and washed with lukewarm soapy water or dish detergent. Before storing the boat we recommend you treat the surface of the kayak by lacquering it with a water repellent preparation which will protect the surface against further soiling and create a protective UV filter. You can find such a product in our accessories offering under the label UV-Tech.
Never use silicon-based preparations.
Can you advise me how to store the kayak/boat in winter?
Store the clean and dry craft on a dark surface with a temperature from 10 to 25°C. For long-term storage, we recommend blowing the boat up for 24 hours from time to time to prevent it being damaged by its own collapsed weight. At least once every two to three years, we recommend bringing the boat in for a maintenance check at an authorized dealer. With proper care and maintenance, it's possible to extend the lifetime of the craft.
I've pierced my boat on the river. Can you tell me what the best way is to fix my kayak?
You can fix the boat all by yourself easily with the help of the included patch kit.
Patching instructions:
- prepare a patch large enough to cover the damaged area,
- both the surface of the patch in the area to which the patch is being applied must be dry, clean, with no old glue,
-with older boats, remove the oxidized surface layer using sandpaper,
- for a good bond, we recommend removing the grease from both surfaces using acetone.
- apply a layer of glue to both surfaces, and after letting the first layer dry completely, apply a second coat,
- when the second layer has partially dried, place the patch on the surface of the boat and press it into position, either placing a heavy object on top of it or using a roller if the surface is even. If the hole is large, and a longer drying time is required, make sure the glue does not get inside the hole and thereby bind one side of the surface to the other. The glue which appears at the edges after pressing out should be scraped back into the area of the patch edges to create a smooth surface. For smaller repairs (punctures), the boat may be inflated and use after 30 minutes. For larger repairs, we recommend waiting at least 24 hours and then assessing water tightness underwater.
The valve is leaking. Can I change the valve by myself?
If necessary, you can change the valve by yourself. You need a wrench for the valve which you can easily get directly from us or from your dealer. Loosen the valve and unscrew it. Evaluate the condition of the valve and either clean it or replace it. Throw away damaged valves. Screw the cleaned or new valve into the boat and tighten it with a wrench.
I'd like to send the boat for service for more serious repairs. Can you tell me where to send it?
