Not only did he win a gold medal at this year's Summer Olympics, but he also decided to propose to his girlfriend and colleague Anežka Paloudová. Dostal most often combines singles, doubles and quadruple sculls. In addition to his four Olympic medals already won, he has also been world champion several times. In this year's Olympics, he competed and won the 1,000m singles kayak race. Once again, we congratulate him on his Olympic gold medal as well as his engagement and wish him many more sporting successes!

This year we were again (for the third time) among the providers of good mood and great experiences at the Lipno Sport Festival, which was visited by around 50,000 enthusiasts from all over the world. This year the event was postponed by a week due to the Olympics so that our athletes could also participate in the Lipno Festival. The boat rental as well as the inflatable and paddle competition were a success, as were the activities for children such as the fin race and the photo booth. The most popular product from the GUMOTEX shop's range on site was the AirGo deckchair, which this year was already available not only to try out but also to buy. Vítek Přindiš and Lukáš Rohan competed at the Water Sports Day against the representatives of the public on our SEASHINs and we can proudly say that the SEASHINs go really well. The weather was good for us and the visitors almost all the time during the Festival, so we can evaluate this year's edition as a great success again.

On October 4, 2023, our company held its traditional collection Pie for Hospice. It is a collection that supports the development of St. Martin's mobile hospice care, which falls under the Regional Charity Breclav. St. Martin's Home Hospice provides home hospice care to terminally ill patients in the last days of their lives in their own social environment - at home. Home health care is provided by nurses with many years of experience in various areas of health care. The proceeds of this year's collection amounted to CZK 44,488, and the employees contributed CZK 6,060 to the collection box located in GUMOTEX, which will be used for the development of palliative care and education of nurses at the St. Martin's Home Hospice in Břeclav, which operates in the Břeclav, Hustopeč, Mikulov and Pohořelice regions. Thanks for the financial contribution, but also for the kind and warm behaviour of the staff we received from the director of the Regional Charity Břeclav Mr. Josef Gajdoš.

We are thrilled to share with you its great success - it came 1st in the INFLATABLE category! Why is the new Seashine so special and what made it so deserving of the win? It boasts a unique V-shaped dropstitch bottom with a combination of a flat bottom on the stern. This makes it perfectly fast and very stable. On 13 and 20 September 2023, our company held "Health Days", which we prepared for our employees in cooperation with the Health Insurance Company of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic. Employees could undergo eye examinations, nutritional counselling, blood pressure and cholesterol measurements in the premises of the House of Culture. During these two days, about 140 employees came to be examined and according to some respondents, it was a meaningful event. They particularly appreciated the fact that they did not have to make an appointment and everything was in one place.

On 11-20.8.2023 we participated for the second time in the Lipno Sport Festival in the Lipno Marina area, where we presented our inflatable boats to this year's record 50 thousand sports enthusiasts. Visitors tried kayaks, canoes and rafts from our fleet on about 1000 m2 of the GUMOTEX Amusement Park, took part in the Solar kayak races in time trials, families with children enjoyed a lot of joy and enthusiasm in other sports and leisure activities we prepared for them. The first Sunday of the festival program belonged to the official races in our boats against the Czech Olympic medalists - Amalia Hilgertova, Vítek Přindiš and Lukáš Rohan. Other famous athletes, such as Mrs. Kateřina Neumannová with her daughter Lucie or Dominik Hašek, could not resist to try our boats and compete. We also took this opportunity to try something new - selling boats on the spot and a discount promotion on the eshop to mark the occasion. We managed to sell 30 boats in 10 days. We created a relaxation zone where we tested prototypes of our new inflatable loungers, which garnered acclaim and admiration for where we were able to take the ordinary lounger of the past.

During the testing period at the Lipno Sport Festival we witnessed an extraordinary interest from the public. Visitors to the festival tried out the beach lounger and expressed their enthusiastic response to its comfort and modern look. With the imaginative design and improved construction of the new beach lounger, we are confident that we will be able to build on the success of the original product and bring an even higher level of comfort and satisfaction to our customers. GUMOTEX has completed the construction of a new development centre at its headquarters in Breclav. As part of an investment of more than 90 million CZK. To use them effectively, we need a clear understanding of the needs of our customers, consumer expectations and current market trends. At the heart of the development centre are two modern pilot lines, coating and coating, designed for the surface treatment of textile materials. This is probably GUMOTEX's most well-known product to the public, which is also the basic building block for inflatable boats and deckchairs. Various types of textile materials can be processed on the installed technologies, and mixtures based on organic or aqueous solvents can be used for treatment. The individual parameters and the final product can also be tested in in-house laboratories. Tests of the key properties of the materials used for the production of boats, i.e. resistance to temperature or sunlight, are also taken into account. The facilities of the development centre will be gradually expanded so that they can be used for product categories other than the aforementioned coated materials. In the first instance at the level of analytical instruments, and gradually other pilot technologies. The development team will be able to intensively share know-how across production divisions, which will add value to the entire GUMOTEX Group. We believe that the new advanced pilot technologies and test facilities will push us even further forward. With this investment, we will streamline our development projects and accelerate commercialization for our clients. We want our R&D team to be the first choice for our customers as well as our development partners. The renovated building also becomes the headquarters for the model shop and the boat development, which are the showcase of GUMOTEX. Rubbertextile inflatable boats have been in the product portfolio for more than 60 years and GUMOTEX has built up its position as the world's largest manufacturer in this category during that time. We would also like to thank all our partners who have participated in the implementation of the project, as well as for the support we have received in the form of a grant of 30 million CZK from the OPEI programme.

In June this year, the Austrian river Salza saw an unusual bustle thanks to an event called "The Face of GUMOTEX". This event was aimed at obtaining new photographic and video material for future marketing purposes. Over the course of a few days, a team of experienced photographers and videographers took to the water with enthusiastic paddlers in all models of GUMOTEX boats. The participants had the unique opportunity to test our boats in a variety of conditions, and the production crew captured the beauty of these exceptional vessels in the picturesque setting of the Austrian natural paradise. The main challenge was to capture authentic moments that could convey the power, fun and connection with nature that are associated with GUMOTEX boats. The results of the event exceeded expectations. The team was able to boast a number of high quality photos and videos that will now serve as key content for the company's future marketing campaigns. The event not only provided GUMOTEX with new material for marketing purposes, but also strengthened brand awareness in the water sports community. We look forward to seeing how this footage will impress the public and boost the popularity of our boats. The "Face of GUMOTEX" event was undoubtedly an important step towards strengthening the brand and establishing new emotional connections between customers and GUMOTEX products.

We have developed and constructed this tent in accordance with their demanding requirements for accommodation and equipment for rescue missions around the world. The first prototype is therefore in the white colour characteristic of these organisations. The tent is also the basis for users of other rescue services or defence forces such as the military. We presented the tent for the first time at an international symposium in Rome back in April 2023. The experts present praised its durability and its ability to ensure the performance of demanding and long-term tasks in extreme conditions.

The young rowers from Břeclav contributed to the success of the crews of Czech Olympic hopefuls at the regatta in Poland. During the legendary Prague Primátorky races, Aleš Pospíšil from Břeclav and his rowing crew from Prague Hamr finished in close second in the main race. Athletes from Břeclav were successful in other categories during the rowing festival held on the Vltava River. Thanks to the rowing team for their report.
